I'm very curious to see the electricity consumption of this winter.
Last year we had a very high consumption due to a failing thermostat. After replacing the thermostat we thought the problem was over, but in November we noticed the same problem, well ahead of the cold season happily. We switched it off and adjusted the temperature of the other thermostat in the living room. With half of the ceiling heating off the temperature stayed around 5 to 7 Celsius.
I hope the total electricity consumption is considerably lower than last winter.
In May we will install an 'ilmalämpöpumpu', air conditioner, incase we will have a warm summer again, but also to replace the ceiling heating during the winter. I'm curious to see the results of my neighbor who did the same last fall. They say it is quite efficient and can beat the consumption of the ceiling heating.
